Alona Yacobovsky DPT, CWS
Alona Yacobovsky graduated from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY with a bachelor and
master degree in physical therapy in September, 2002. In addition, she holds a doctorate in physical therapy from Boston University that she received in August, 2005. Tired of bitter cold winters, Alona made the move to California where she worked at Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs for one year and Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego for six years. At Scripps Mercy Hospital, Alona became proficient working with all types of patients and diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, general medical, cardiac, critical care, and traumatic. Alona also has extensive experience working with chronic pain patients as she is a certified wound specialist and has specialty training in Lymphedema management.
Outside of work, Alona sits on the executive board of the Young Adult Division of
the San Diego Jewish Federation where she plans and participates in a wide range of volunteer and community activities. In her spare time, Alona enjoys running, playing tennis, soccer, and skiing.
